Date Paste Energy Balls Recipe

Energy balls are small, healthy and nutritious energy balls. They are ideal as a snack for a quick and lasting energy boost. Composed mainly of dried fruits, nuts, and seeds, they are perfect for athletes, active people or those looking for a healthy alternative to traditional snacks.

Ingredients

- 200 g Tayiba date paste
- 100 g almonds
- 50 g rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter (or any other nut butter)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- For coating: cocoa powder, shredded coconut, or sesame seeds

Preparation

1. In a blender, blend the almonds until coarse. Add the rolled oats and blend again briefly.

2. Add the date paste, peanut butter, and cocoa powder. Blend until the mixture is smooth and forms a pliable dough. If the mixture seems too dry, add a little water; if it is too wet, add oatmeal.

3. Scoop out a small amount of dough and form bite-sized balls with your hands.

4. Roll the balls in your favorite coating (cocoa, shredded coconut, or sesame seeds).

5. Place the energy balls on a plate and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

To store the energy balls, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. You can also freeze them and allow them to thaw at room temperature before eating.
